Who’s getting settlement money?

After Velappan came on the board, his tenant George Dawsey, filed a personal injury lawsuit against the association.  He claims that he slipped and fell on ice and his injuries exceed $50,000.  Now, he wants the association to pay.  Was there a deal not to involve Velappan?

Why did he wait until Velappan came on the board to file his lawsuit?  Is Velappan going to vote on a settlement for his own tenant?  Who’s interests does Velappan have in mind?

This lawsuit does not add up.  Are homeowners paying this bill as well?
