Subpoena is Court Order

Dear Homeowners,

If anyone — including Mr. Peletis — asks you to destroy, delete, or hide any documents or communications, you must say NO. Doing so could expose you personally to serious legal consequences.

We have all seen the recent email regarding subpoenas. The legal process is now active, and full transparency is critical. It only takes one person telling the truth for everything to come to light. Anyone who lies, withholds, or conceals information can and likely will be caught.

It’s deeply concerning that Mr. Peletis may be asking homeowners to withhold or deny having documents that he himself has circulated for years. If this is happening, we must ask:

  • Why is he asking others to lie or conceal?
  • Why should homeowners put themselves at risk to cover for someone else’s actions?
  • What is being hidden — and at whose expense?

Do not put yourself in legal jeopardy. If you have documents or communications that may be relevant, preserve them. Tell the truth. Protect yourself.

If you're unsure about what to do, please speak with your own legal counsel. Each homeowner has the right — and responsibility — to make informed, independent decisions. The association attorney only represents the association, not you.
